Under the impulse of Mobile Network manufacturers, the Telemanagement Forum (www.tmforum.org) catalyzed the Co-operative Open Oss Project (CO~OP), aiming at better coordinating fault detections, cross-configurations, and performance improvements. As the leader of the CO~OP Performance Management workgroup, I directed a multi-vendor team to define an inter-working interface to exchange wireless network key performance indicators. I also took an active part in the meetings' organization and animation in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment (in Japan, Sweden, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal) Context: 3GPP, eTom, BPMN, JDBC, WS, ERP, CWM, XML, ERP, CRM, FCAPS Show less In the UMTS Radio access network, the Radio Network Controller (RNC) is the most complex piece of equipment, in charge of the allocation of resources and the management of voice and data calls.Sub-system integration consists in testing an equipment in isolation, simulating all its interfaces, operations and management behaviors. As a validation engineer, I designed a complete RNC simulation framework sustaining Nortel’s 3G access network integration activity, and successfully made Nortel's first 3G call relying on the standardized openIuB interface. Located in Nozay, south of Paris, "Innovation City" was Alcatel-Lucent's innovation center encouraging collaboration and entrepreneurship, hosting R&D teams, start-ups and a creative fab lab, “Le Garage”. With more than 5,000 staff investigating technologies including small cells, ultra-broadband, IP and optics, the campus is the company's main research center in Europe. As part of its open innovation program, the group hosts startups, which benefit from office space, infrastructure and, above all, proximity to the engineers, contributing to the fast-growing Paris-Saclay industrial ecosystem. In charge of Open Innovation and Startup Relations, my key missions are to: - develop an open innovation ecosystem with French industrial clusters, universities, engineering schools, research institutes, public-founded and private laboratories - propose and develop an operational framework to stimulate intrapreneurship and enable spin-offs - establish partnerships with start-ups and key stakeholders of the Paris-Saclay industrial ecosystemIn 2014, I co-founded "Le Garage", a fablab/hacker/maker/design space powered by Bell Labs designed to foster bottom-up initiatives, side projects and start-up practices, where I coach employees in ideation, team building, gamification, prototyping, and evaluation of their exploratory projects, using and teaching methods such as Design Thinking, Rapid Prototyping, Lean Startup, or Growth Hacking.Savvy in the use of various prototyping platforms (arduino, raspberry pi, beaglebone...), I created a new open source/open hardware connected prototyping solution, teaming up with Orange, Sequans Communications, Olimex, Startups and fablabs to accelerate the emergence of 4G connected objects through the "4G kit for IoT" Open Innovation initiative. Show less The multi-patented Coulazou solution created a new ad inventory for smartphones, and valorized it through smart app organization, easy app sharing, and contextual app discovery. To transfer Coulazou technology, I explored various opportunities with Alcatel-Lucent business units, smartphone manufacturers, and operators. I also reached to actors of the retail industry and positioned the Coulazou solution in the "Brick and Mortar Retail Analytics" project of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) ICT lab.In this context, I socialized complex constructs by producing various artifacts: visualization showing the android distribution ecosystem, video clip explaining our value proposition, dynamic web pages showing in real time the transactions occurring in a virtual auction room.Context: Real Time Bidding, entrepreneurship, prototyping, marketing, competitive intelligence Show less Alcatel-Lucent Ventures was a strategic investment group within Bell Labs that incubated and brought to market novel services and solutions. The Coulazou venture proposed a new way to organize and use apps on smartphones through context awareness. As the Operations manager of the venture, I defined the security and test strategies, implemented a Behavior Driven Development powered continuous integration system, automated end-to-end tests involving native smartphone apps and web browser UX, and patented novel UX through adaptive app organization and natural gestures interactions.Following a pivot, I developed a complete android launcher integrating a new kind of ad inventory, and patented Real Time Bidding and parental control extensions.Context: Agile/Scrum, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins, Subversion, Git, Java, Android, NodeJS, PHP, Python, Eclipse, AWS cloud, Linux, MongoDb, MySql, Cucumber, Puppet, Selenium, Testlink, Hadoop/Hive, Zookeeper, Flume Show less The Alcatel-Lucent 9353 Wireless Management System (9353 WMS) is a powerful HW & SW solution featuring flexible, wireless-aware applications fulfilling the stringent requirements of mobile operators by enabling the efficient roll-out, optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of W-CDMA/HSPA access networks supplied by Alcatel-Lucent. The Alcatel-Lucent 9153 OMC-R is its counterpart for GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless networks. As the product manager of the 9353 WMS and 9153 OMC-R solutions, I was responsible for the products strategy (identification of market trends, definition of the product strategy, roadmap), features (ideation/collection/prioritization of features, consolidation of customers’ requests and complaints, support to R&D teams), and go-to-market (presentations/demo, procurement, forecasts, introduction, end of life, support to sales team).Context: GSM, UMTS, Marketing, budget, Security, CERT, IP, customer meetings, product lifecycle Show less The Alcatel-Lucent 3G supervision system consisted in dozens of inter-communicating components, running on various servers, allowing network operators to massively configure wireless networks, escalate faults, trace calls, or collect and report performance measurements. As a Software Architect, my responsibilities encompassed the definition of software architectures for Alcatel-Lucent 3G network management system, the support to international development teams towards quality and on-time delivery of their software components, and the improvement of the quality of architecture models as well as the time necessary to generate and propagate them to design teams.Context: Performance, Automation, Solaris, IPSec, MySQL, Python, TCL, Java, Corba, XML Show less
