Developing web based systems to aid non-profits in helping their clients. The systems were both built using CakePHP, CoffeeScript, and jQuery. I specifically designed the database schema, developed all administrative functionality, and developed/bug fixed some of the regular user features. The biggest feature I implemented was the ability for an administrator to build a survey, set up a scoring algorithm, and then deploy the survey in order to quickly asses which individuals were most in need of help. In addition to that work, I developed an interactive way for an administrator to build a custom report based on the survey they created. Show less

I work at enabling companies to integrate cross-channel marketing efforts within one platform, allowing for deeper insights and greater online success. I specifically work on the search team to integrate with search engines using a wide range of technologies, providing near real-time click through analysis.I have specifically been a core member of a team that built out a CQRS messaging architecture. The architecture allows the communication between our system and 3rd party systems to be near real time and highly scalable. Show less

I setup the client side architecture for a rewrite of the legacy front end that the rest of the team then followed. I built out the build process using Gulp and Rollup. The project uses Babel in order to take advantage of JavaScript ES6 features. It uses Stylus for building CSS with Bootstrap 3 as the main layout framework. We chose to use Angular 1.x as the client side framework because most of the team had at least a passing familiarity with it. The Angular pattern uses the MV* style of building a SPA.After much discussion about the path forward and a want to stay modern, I wrote a transition guide for transitioning to Angular 2 or React. In the end we chose React and I setup our project so that we could integrate React components in our existing Angular application. I also built out the first feature that combined both Angular and React. Show less

Helped setup a microservice architecture using Kafka. I personally created the consumers that pulled messages from Kafka and then performed business logic on them.
