  This project involves construction of social amenities to affected persons due to the ongoing construction of Olkaria IV geothermal power plant. It is projected to cost about shs 800,000,000 once completed. Amongst other structures I supervised are a primary school, social hall, three churches, a dispensary, fish ponds, and a cattle dip.=> Acted as the site agent to link the site to the head office, and the clients KenGen.=> Material requisition and site re-measurements to meet the set works schedule.=> Resource mobilization as labor and construction plant and equipment.=> Daily site works supervision to maintain safety and quality. Show less The governments decision to upgrade the second largest slum in Africa resulted to construction of low cost housing units. Each unit is of six stories in estates to be built in different phases. I was fully involved in the first phase which is still ongoing to cost about Ksh. 3 Billion once complete.=> Participated in preparation and update of works program.As was sometimes the case, the project was behind or ahead of schedule: I aided to adjust accordingly.=> Oversaw tests, analysis and evaluation of construction materials.Concrete being the key issue on site, I undertook slump tests and prepared cubes for cube testing.=> Maintained site health, safety and environmental regulations.I ensured all on site were in personal protective equipment an the general site environment safe.=> Assisted in sub contractor co-ordination and control.Sub contractors on site moved in different paces therefore I assisted balancing resources amongst them.=> Liaising with the project architect / engineer for information and works detail required.I accompanied consultant engineer and architect to inspect and consequently approve structural works.=> Planned and implemented construction works.Being a large site, I aided in identifying strategies to work in tandem with the program of works.=> Aided to prepare monthly valuation reports, and progress reports.To be within time, I aided evaluating the previous month's progress in order to set subsequent targets.=> Actively undertook site measurements and general supervision on a full time basis.Every single day on site was spent checking and rechecking structural works as steel fixing and casting.=> Attended regular site meetings and weekly co-ordination meetings.As a requirement, it was prudent to keep in touch with stakeholders to sort out any issues outstanding.=> Performed all other responsibilities assigned by the company.Case in point was to keep in touch with local Kibera residents as goodwill.
