The interchange includes the construction of 3 x 4span pre-stressed in-situ bridges; 116m, 114m and 84m, all with spill through abutments. The N9/7 road was widened by 6,3m for 17,3km and 2,0m for the last 13,3km. The pavement consisted of a 250mm C3 subbase (recycling 170mm of existing base with 80mm new material), 150mm G1 base and a 19mm Cape seal.
