   To propose a design structural system for the project (Design and Built), then to discuss with EMregarding the same before starting the design. Prepare design drawings and required reports to get approval from related authorities. Co-ordinate with other internal Departments as needed. Mainly with estimation department to providemore optimized ( value engineering) design for tender projects Make structural designs using specialized International Structural Software package and manualcalculation using Design Calculations Sheets and complete all design calculations. Check structural design/drawings to finalize the design before forwarding to EM for approval. Co-ordinate with supplier/subcontractor regarding any proposed designs and detailed structural shopdrawings against the structural design/drawings of the project and other Contract’s Documents. Follow up with the DS preparing structural drawings and structural shop drawings. Check structural drawings / shop drawings and comment on them –if needed- to enable DS to finalizethem before submission to EM for approval. Liaise with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aestheticconcept of the construction. Checking of structural and architectural drawings along with steel drawings, precast drawings, claddingdrawings (co-ordination) Make site visits at the instruction of PM / EM and submit Visit Report to EM for his comments. Attend - upon PM request - meetings with Client / Consultant and make comments on the proceedingsas needed.
