      At MICA I received the first Meyer Photography Traveling Fellowship grant to pursue my documentary project "Clavis Pacis" , making large format images of the coexisting cultures of the military and the suburbs. Images were made throughout the American West and the East Coast.       At the University of Wollongong (UOW), I instructed in the School of Art and Design and the School of Drama and Music; introducing new technological and conceptual methods to create sonic art using software sequencers, analog circuits, and sculptural forms. I was an Artist in Residence from January 1 2007 - July 25, while conducting research at Botany Bay. That work will result in concert pieces, and a non-traditional audio documentary with digital images focused on the human uses of Botany Bay, sustained over 12,000 years.       I developed an international exchange network with Dr. Norie Neumark of the Cinema and Media Studies Program at La Trobe University, Melbourne. We were supported in our efforts by the Australian-American Fulbright Commission, La Trobe University and UMBC. The network facilitated art residency exchange between Baltimore and Melbourne, Mildura and Bendigo in Victoria. Exhibitions and screenings developed through the exchange were featured at Fed Square, Melbourne, Gertrude Street Projection Festival, Melbourne, and the National Aquarium, Baltimore. Show less

      One year position as Acting Chair, leading UMBC's Department of Emergency and Disaster Health Systems. Appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The department offers a unique opportunity for the education of future Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Public Health, and Emergency Management professionals. This is accomplished by providing broad liberal arts and sciences education which enhances the graduate employment opportunities as pre-hospital providers, policymakers, and managers. The Department of Emergency and Disaster Health Systems also provides a cutting-edge education for advancement to graduate, medical, and professional studies. The department's graduate program is primarily focused on preparing professionals for leadership roles in Disaster Health, Emergency Public Health, and Policy Development. The two-track curriculum is designed to provide graduate-level training and education to health care providers, researchers, educators, policymakers, and administrators. An Education concentration can be combined with either track. A post-baccalaureate certificate in Emergency Management is also offered. In collaboration with the School of Public Policy, the department offers specialized concentrations in Emergency Health or Emergency Management within the Public Policy Ph.D. program. Show less Professor of Visual Arts, with areas of emphasis in the Imaging and Digital Arts MFA Program, sound design, video, drawing, and foundation studies. Nohe is an artist and educator engaging traditional and electronic media in public life and public places. His recent work has been realized in Intermedia works, including site-specific sound and video installations, sound scores for dance, sculpture and photography.Timothy Nohe led the UMBC Faculty Senate as President and Vice President, and was Founding Director of the Center for Innovation, Research and Creativity in the Arts. He holds positions on numerous campus committees, including the UMBC-Maryland State Arts Council Public Art Selection Committee, where he serves as lead campus liaison in the Arts. We were committed to a multicampus leadership and professional development effort at UMBC, UMD and Morgan State University. Our goal, to advance women and people of color in the Arts and Humanities to promotion to full Professor and higher education leadership ranks. Nohe produced focused modules on shared governance, social media deployment and management, and a case study on effective change management at the level of university president. Show less

      Mentor to Dr. Ryan Bañagale, Director of Performing Arts and Associate Professor of Music at Colorado College during his Mellon - Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Leadership Fellows period. A $1.5 million grant from the Mellon Foundation established the ACM Mellon Academic Leadership Fellows Program, as a three-year initiative aimed at expanding the demographics of academic administration at ACM colleges.
