  The Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI) is a local, Nigerian-run NGO that empowers and educates youth and inspiring communities using proven models or ideas modified for the Nigerian context.I volunteered as a coach for the Skills Girls progran which entailed providing classes in sexual and reproductive health topics such as Gender, HIV & AIDS, Goal setting, Family Planning, Abuse, Relationships etc for in-school and out-of-school girls aged 13 to 18 in Lagos State.

  I'm currently the Advocacy Program Coordinator for the Ready for Work project at WAVE, funded by Ford Foundation, where I co-create to drive an advocacy agenda that seeks to rewire the education - to - employment in Nigeria through a competency-based hiring and training model, and transition work- ready youth into meaningful employment to enhance social mobility.

  REST4HER project is a virtual safe space where services that include; awareness, information, education, counseling as well as an appropriate referral of SGBV survivors. This project also helps link survivors of gender-based violence to services that will ensure their safety, justice, and needs to be met through a 24/7 call center. I was a consultant on this project, I developed training materials for training the SGBV call center responders and I trained them with the skills needed to support survivors. My Content creation and design skill helped me to develop content on the website and social media platform of the project. I wrote reports on all activities and mentored the first responders for 3 months. About 500 survivors have received help through this project and thousands through the content online. Show less
