The ‘Kochi Eco Challenge’ project is conceived in line with the theme ‘Ecosystem Restoration’ set forth by the United Nations in connection with the Environment Day 2021.Our team proposed the idea of "Seabin" which is a floating natural fiber garbage bin that can suck in pollutants in docks, marinas, yacht clubs or any water body with a calm environment and leave the water pristine. Essentially, it can stop waste from leaving marinas and harbours. The idea was to install these devices at Kochi Marine drive areas to suck in the plastic and other debris littering the water bodies. The tentative estimate and other details were submitted to the authorities for their perusal. Show less
