  -Serve as part of the RCA/AM Team for the Office of Residential Life-Assist upper division students as they adjust to apartment living. -Work closely with other student staff to make sure the mission of ORL is fulfilled. I lead prospective families around Illinois Wesleyan’s beautiful campus showcasing all the school has to offer. I also help the school with major events like admitted student’s day and open houses. Assists with a General Chemistry teaching lab once a week for 3 hours by helping students with lab equipment and grading various assignments. Holds tutor sessions once a week during the evening Assist first year students as they adjust to college by facilitating events and overseeing the hall. As a first year RA, I also held 1 on 1’s with each resident to ensure they were adjusting well and give them time to bring any concerns to my attention.

  During this wonderful opportunity, I was worked in the lab of Andrea Braundmeier-Fleming, PhD. I worked on a project to examine ways that cancer invades the immune system. Through this experience, I acquired new lab skills while also growing my scientific knowledge which I plan to use in my future endeavors.
