Tavershima provided state-level technical leadership by ensuring donor-procured health commodities “stock on-hand” within health facilities continuously falls within the min/max range established for each product by supporting the LMCU to generate periodic and timely programmatic information that continuously guides stakeholder’s decision such as patients per regimen from the stand point of commodity consumption, regimen migration, national stock status and pipeline reports. Tavershima actively conducted replenishment trend analysis and consumption data pattern analysis to help supervise and identify future procurement and distribution requirements. His work was often the backbone for informed decisions made by USAID GHSC-PSM Nigeria, the Government of Nigeria (GON), PEPFAR and Global Fund ATM programs. As a Logistics Advisor for HIV/AIDS program, he supported the Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) for Benue state with over 40% share of the national stock consumption hence, provided visibility into the country’s stock situation down to the last mile.Tavershima worked with other USAID supported implementing partners (IP) to coordinate program activities and promote synergy among partners to ensure availability of commodities for all partner programs where it falls within GHSC-PSM mandate. He also coordinated with SDP/IPs and other stakeholders to ensure that health commodities within health facilities are stored and managed in keeping with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, and good inventory management practices.
