  “Phillips Carbon Black Limited”, a part of the “RP- Sanjiv Goenka Group” is pioneered in the carbon black industry in India. PCBL is the largest producer of carbon black in India and 8th largest in the world. It co-generates Power by the gases produced in manufacturing of carbon black.Job Profile:Joined as a GET at Durgapur plant, West Bengal, where i got the exposure to carbon black manufacturing process via classroom training program by the various industrial professionals about Production, Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation DCS operations, accounts, purchase and human resource activities. After 2 months of training I was posted to PCBL Palej plant.Responsibilities at Palej Plant:*Involve in planning and execution of predictive/preventive/breakdown/shutdown maintenance analysis of all Instruments in Carbon Black Process Plant and 12 MW Captive Power Plant.*Executed the commissioning of 4 number of Opacity meters as per Gujarat Pollution Control Board norms.* Involve in the commissioning of various new Instruments for better control of the process to optimize the yield.* Exposure to DCS Emerson Delta-V, various Instruments like PID Controllers, T/C, RTD, Level / Proximity / Limit / Pressure / Flow Switches, mass flow meters etc.*Maintenance and Calibration of different makes Control Valves, Opacity meters and all other Instruments used in the plant.* Exposure to designing and implementation of PLC ladder logic and relay logic. * Learned about ISO, EMS, TS, OHSAS and its documentation.*Exposure to SAP Software for documentation and to maintain department spare instruments, store spare instruments.
