      An R.A, or resident assistant, is a student who lives in a dormitory and helps other students with various issues. Some examples of what an R.A would do in college are: - Organized social events and activities for the residents, such as movie nights, game nights, icebreakers, etc.- Enforced the rules and policies of the dormitory, such as quiet hours, cleanliness, alcohol and drug use, visitors, etc.- Mediate conflicts and disputes between residents or between residents and staff- Provide emotional support and referrals to counseling services for residents who are struggling with personal or academic problems- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate authorities- Performed periodic patrols around the buildings every few weeks, doing three rounds at night at the hours of 8, 10, and 12 o'clock to enforce housing standards and ensure the well-being of the residents.- Serve as a role model and mentor for the residents by offering support, connections, referrals, and resources.Achievements:- Led a peer talk and presentation on conflict management and resolution as a senior R.A- Awarded Best Event for the building event: "Tour De Peli" alongside Pelican Apartment's R.A team Show less A peer tutor is a student who helps other students with their academic challenges in specific subjects.
