I was responsible for the supervision/management of the team regarding the settlement of the company's corporate obligations. This consisted mainly of supervising the processing of invoices and employee expenses in CODA and payments via SWIFT, CHAPS, BACS and Cheques. There was also the responsibility of supporting the business through various asset sale transactions. I had the authority to act as Deputy Manager and make decisions. My big achievement in this role was when I was tasked with implementing a new mortgage cash sweep process to the buyers after the final asset sale. I had to work with the project team and build several spreadsheets that would encompass all the MI data which would then confirm what cash needed to be swept each day. I had to also build the correct bank account into these spreadsheets to ensure cash was swept from the correct places. I had to then train the team and implement the sweeps. This was a success and we met our obligations to the buyers which resulted in me receiving a higher grading for the year.I had to step up in this role and have become the SME for any queries regarding banking/payments within the business as well as taking full responsibility for the cash management of the company's bank accounts and ensuring they are funded. I have had to train the team on the banking side and build, maintain and implement controls around processes and procedures. Show less I was responsible for the supervision/management of the team regarding the settlement of Treasury's obligations. I had the authority to deputise for the Settlements Manager and make decisions if necessary. I had to review the work that was produced by the Administrators and had the authority to release payments using SWIFT and various other payment platforms, as well as approve transactions booked in the TMS (Quantum). As I had demonstrated my ability to grasp complex tasks and perform to a high standard in this role and my previous role. I was assigned the task of managing the cash settlement of the collapse of a large SPV which consisted of the transfer of cash in the hundreds of millions and was very complex. This was a success and I received an award. I also volunteered to implement a new set of banking processes into the team which consisted of accounts payable and general corporate/banking transactions. I had to liase with the AP team, learn their processes and implement them into Treasury Settlements by training my colleagues as well as working with IT to ensure appropriate access etc was set up. This was time critical as the business was effectively going to be split which meant we wouldn't have access to the prior teams knowledge afterwards. I received a higher grading in my review for achieving this. Show less I was responsible for processing Treasury's settlement obligations. This consisted of inputting and verifying payments in SWIFT as well as booking transactions into the TMS (Wallstreet). The role gave me exposure to mutiple areas of Treasury Settlements including Collateral Management, Money Markets, Capital Markets, Derivatives and Cash Management. As I had quickly learnt the role and performed well, I was nominated for the additional monthly task of processing and input of the SPV Waterfall which had been transferred to Settlements from Middle Office. I then taught this to the rest of the team which gained me recognition.I also volunteered to improve the Collateral interest process to make it more efficient. It was run from multiple spreadsheets and lacked automation which meant the input had to be done manually making it a difficult and laborious process. I worked across Treasury Finance to implement a new automated process that amalgamated all the data which made the process much more efficient and benefitted the team. Show less I was responsible for discussing the customer's financial circumstances with them over the phone in relation to their mortgage to acquire an understanding of their situation with the objective of encouraging them to re-mortgage elsewhere or take advantage of our products which would enable them to repay the debt sooner without penalty.I consistently achieved high call quality and was often awarded quarterly bonuses for been one of the top ten agents.I was also given the additional responsibility of discussing the option of porting with customers that had requested it due to my high performance.
