  Credits completed : 33Courses with 100% score : 7 / 11Expected degree completion : Fall 2022As a part of the course curriculum, I have done several observations in the Mission College Child Development Center and West Valley College Child Development Center that include understanding a child in various stages of development (infant to toddler to preschooler), understanding the classroom environments and using Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale to assess the quality of early childhood classrooms.I have also done Field Experience in Early Childhood Education equivalent to 120 classroom hours. This included creating a curriculum for 3 - 5 year old children, planning activities in all the domains (science,math,physical,cognitive,language, social,emotional) and implementing them with different teaching strategies.I am currently enrolled in the “The Child with Special Needs” course that examines a variety of disabilities and how they impact children, families and the community. It would also help me understand the laws and legislation about disabilities and special education. I also homeschool my 8 year son and am responsible as the primary educator for his 2nd grade curriculum. Show less
