From my experience in the Emergency Management world, I learned many important lessons. One of those lessons is that every disaster is local and in order to build more resilient communities you start at the local level- one house, one person, one neighborhood. The mission of Medium Tuna is to apply that same philosophy through dogs. Dogs and pets have an increasing role in the social and economic aspects of our communities and the role of Medium Tuna is to help make the role of pets in our communities positive. We do that by helping as many local pets as possible, partnering with local animal-related organizations/businesses to help in fundraising, finding new homes for rescue animals, and providing training on a wide range of animal-related topics. We also provide advice, referrals, and 1-on-1 emergency preparedness/wildfire mitigation training. Show less
