  Project managed the design, development, and new product introduction of Digital Voice Cable Modems for the Worldwide Cable market. Led geographically diverse teams based in US, Taiwan, Bangalore, and China.• Managed design, development, CableLabs Certification, and customer qualifications of Digital Voice Cable Modems. Products were qualified by TWC, CV, Cox and other smaller MSOs. Piloted 2nd generation versions after defining and executing a 15% BOM cost reduction plan.• Managed design, development, promotion, and customer qualification of cable industry’s first DECT embedded Digital Voice Cable Modem for Comcast, CV, TWC and general retail. Partnered with a Hong Kong based cordless phone base-station and handset manufacturer, a US based advanced IP services provided, an Indian based FW development and integration team, a Taiwanese HW design partner, and a Chinese manufacturing house.• Managed transfer of three products from one China EMS to another after Box-Build pricing was negotiated to improve margins. Supported production line qualification including front-end SMT and back-end assembly and test at new factory. Transferred manufacturing of a custom battery pack from an exited business.• Led a multi-site (4), multi-discipline engineering team, consisting of HW / FW, systems, optics, networks, voice, data, mechanical, compliance, and power supply engineering.• Acted as liaison between development engineering and two power supply venders and drove development and qualification of an industrial UPS used in conjunction with Verizon ONT MDU.• Managed development from conception to mass production of multi-media terminal adaptors and set-top boxes under budget and within very aggressive timelines positioning Motorola as the clear leader in broadband triple play of video, data, and voice over HFC networks.• Primary liaison between Motorola Development Engineering and Vonage Technical Support.
