      With the recent alignment of 12 Regional Health Authorities into one, my responsibilities are to ensure that the Saskatchewan Health Authority Swift Current Area office is in compliance with the Sask Employment Act and Regulations as well as applicable CSA standards and best practice for Emergency Preparedness and Infection Control. Mt responsibilities further include to provide training in areas related to safety and source leading best practice and educational session to ensure compliance. I also investigate complaints of Harrassment and workplace injuries, and conduct insepctions of the 21 faciliteis that we currently have. My additional responsibilities are Infection Control and Emergency Preparedness, so this would be to ensure that we minimize and eliminate the treat of Infection through out our facilities and to ensure that our Emergency plans including the Pandemic Plans are up to date. I'm responsible to ensure that all these policy and procedure manuals are the most current best practice. My team is also working with the Saskatchewan Association for Safety Workplaces in Health on creating a Safety Management System that incorporates both Staff and Patient Safety, as historically the Safety Management System was developed solely for Employee safety, this is a big undertaking but the end result will be to have a true create a true culture of safety for both staff and the patients that we serve .
