Tasked with a key focus on business development and sales growth and consistently exceeding performance expectations and targets. Assisted with acquisitions and change management as the group acquired additional businesses. Spearheaded and managed all tender projects encompassing various large commercial campaigns and as well large government projects. Notable accomplishments include securing and managing the printing of ballot papers for SA and other African countries as well as managing large campaigns with the Department of Education to print, package and distribute materials to over 27,000 schools across the country. Privileged to work with top local and international companies as well as various government departments and be a part of various projects and campaigns that helped to build some of the leading brands in SA. Especially rewarding to also work with leading publishers on the production of educational materials and books that reached virtually every school in the country. With an exceptional team, spearheaded the development a new division, Shumani Mills Digital, which went on to become one of the leading digital printers in the Western Cape and earned a SAPPI Printer Of the Year award in 2012. Starting off in a 200m2 mini-factory with 4 staff the company has grown to expand into three divisions in a 1600m2 facility with over 50 staff. Based at the Provincial Office in Cape Town and responsible for operations management across three district offices (City of Cape Town, Eden District and Cape Winelands) and twelve branches ranging from Vredenburg on the West Coast to Beaufort West in the Karoo and Knysna on the Garden Route.An excellent and memorable experience being able influence and make valuable contributions to hundreds of small businesses and start ups that play a vital role in the South African economy.
