      I have started my job as Hardware Board Design Engineer at Qualcomm. It is an Analog Design, Circuit Design, PCB design related job. It helps in verification of SoC functionalities. I am Coming across different high speed and low speed interfaces for different hardware platforms. I have been involved in 4 projects for the design of various daughter cards and board bring ups. Some of my job responsibilities include. 1. Schematics capture. (Designer - Mentor Graphics) 2. Layout review and suggestions to improve layout. 3. Cadence Sigrity for DCR, self inductance and cross inductance simulations. 4. Capacitor optimization and placement analysis. 5. Bill of Materials 6. Datasheet check for different third party ICs used. Checking parameters like temperature range, operating voltage range, Load capacitance and its compensation. 7. Board layout requirements meeting with the Vendor for proper design - stackup type (all layer, 2n2 etc), trace width and distance (min) between traces. 8. Board Tape out and bring up the board.9. Design Validation and Testing - involves extensive testing of devices across temperatures. 10. Meeting customer requirements and guidelines as per standards. 11. Coordinating with cross functional teams for mechanical and thermal requirements. Thank you. Show less
