      Working as part of a global team , responsibilities include triaging, debugging, and resolution of production bugs associated with AWS cloud-based enterprise applications. Tickets, emails, IMs and phone calls come from our Tech Support team, Content team and other teams in our organization. It is essential that we stay in constant contact with these teams to ensure the current status of tickets/issues are known and for these teams to escalate urgent issues to our team. Issues mostly consist of bugs that require the use of MSSQL to identify and change database entries to correct the immediate problem for users. documenting steps to replicate, providing example affected users, relevant application logs, screenshots with loggers etc. Our team then creates an alert to identify further occurrences of the bug until it is fixed. Our team also uses Datadog to view statistics of our cloud-based servers to determine if there are system issues that may be the cause of a problem. If a performance issue is identified, we work closely with our DevOps Team to correct the problem and prevent reoccurrences. Our team is also often asked to automate tasks that would take too long to be performed if done through the UI. Also responsible for participating in on-call rotation and having the ability to respond to and address issues during non-business hours. Our Team is also responsible for manual testing the product before releasing it to customers.
