      • Specialized in X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques, attended numerous synchrotron experiments.• Created MATLAB and Python scripts to analyze and view diffraction data as well as read data files for further manipulation.• Analyzed ~45 GB of XRD data, through multiple software and MATLAB scripts.• Quantified strain and texture changes as a function of electric field in bulk and thin film ferroelectrics.• Elucidated the role of mechanical constraint and texture on domain reorientation in PZT films.• Determined that the stiffness of the underlying material stack impacts the extrinsic response of released PZT films used in microelectromechanical systems.• Studied the effects of electrical and mechanical loading on the domain and phase behavior of PZT multi-layered piezoelectric actuators.• 20 peer reviewed publications in: Acta. Mater., J. Amer. Cer. Soc, and Adv. Funct. Mater.       • Created a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) routine to conduct Bayesian inference on X-ray diffraction (XRD) data that is quantified via line-profile analysis. This routine generates a better description of errors than what is available from least squares analysis.• Integrated the MCMC routine into LIPRAS, a least squares peak fitting software.
