  As Electrical Manager, I am responsible for both technical and management tasks: - Managing and providing leadership to a team of Electrical Tradespeople. - Providing advice and making recommendations to clients and management on electrical systems and components. - Extensive project management and liaison with clients and management; planning and scheduling projects, estimating time and materials required, maintaining records, and preparing reports. - Advising on and resolving technical problems concerning installation, modification and repair. - Performing inspections to ensure that completed work complies with standard procedures according to SABS 0142. - Ensuring strict health and safety compliance. Show less - Responsible for the assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and various fixtures. - Inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components to ensure compliance, identify any hazards or defects, as well as the potential need for repair; issuing Electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC). - Notably, I designed and installed power supplies for overhead cranes, compressors, air-conditioning units, single and three phase machines and welding plugs. - Transferring skills and providing training to field workers. - Specialised duties:- Classification of hazardous apparatus and its installation into the following areas: spray painting booths, battery charging locations, areas for the storage and mixing of flammable paints and solvents. - Installation of apparatus into flameproof storerooms containing flammable gasses.
