This position sharpened my ability to multi-task several projects at once, and implement them. I had the fortunate experience of working under Rick Romero AVP, and Steve Jordan President at EWU. during my time in this position I was able to create a "butterfly effect" that I feel strengthened the university from a recruitment and retention perspective. My accomplishments included Conceptualized, researched and marketed the EWU Recreation Center leading to the largest student vote recorded at Eastern Washington University. The twenty six million dollar recreation center opened May 8th, 2008.Conducted research, statistical analysis and developed projects for the Associate Vice President of Business Services.Prepared and delivered Board of Trustees presentations. Conducted several “if / then” scenarios to prepare Business Services for positive or negative external influence. Scheduled and coordinated meetings for the Associate Vice President. Show less This was my first introduction into a political environment, I was able to use business principles o streamline things and accomplish things that I was told were impossible. This position was also the staging ground for the EWU Recreation Center project. Responsible for allocating and managing 2.2 million dollar budget.Initiated online voting program for student elections leading to highest recorded student participation of any election at Eastern Washington University.Negotiated STA Ridership Program and collaborated to make free bus service for all Eastern Washington University Students. Attended weekly sessions in Olympia as a registered lobbyist to testify on student issues.Responsible for the creation of three $1,000 leadership scholarships by reallocating funds from campus vending machines. Lobbied in Olympia as a state registered lobbyist. Show less

    • Dollar Per Month

      Jan 2010 - Dec 2014
      Founder

The Concept of Dollar Per Month is simple. Combined we can massive impact with minimal sacrifice. You join DPM and contribute a small amount, as little as $1 per month. (Like the Basement I just named the business for what it was $1 per month) The total donations are pooled every month and as a member you get to vote to help decide how the money is distributed. 1st place gets 50% of the pool, 2nd place gets 30% and 3rd place gets 20% no charity losses. Every month this process repeats with three new charities each pre-screened for reputation, financial responsibility, impact, and other important factors. The site is setup to eliminate all of the barriers to creating measurable positive change in the world. By leveraging small individual contributions, educating and showcasing the most important causes and mixing them up in a social media frenzy everyone is capable of making a difference. The site is fun too, you can vote, compete with friends, and share your generosity on all types of social media platforms. Show less

      Branding Promotion

Conceptualize new directions, modifications, or enhancements to every aspect of the Pita Pit Brand. Work internally and externally to implement initiatives to increase Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty and Market Saturation. About Pita PitPita Pit was founded on the idea that people want an exciting alternative to fast food restaurants—a place with great tasting food that’s healthy, fresh, and still served fast. (Because who isn’t burned out on burgers and pizza, and bottomed out on subs?) So Pita Pit ditched all the heavy breads and buns—along with the higher carbs and fat that today’s health-conscious consumers are trying to avoid.Instead, we came up with our own special light and tasty Lebanese-style pitas. And vowed to fill them with only the good stuff. Leaner, savory meats that could be grilled to perfection. Unique flavorful cheeses. A larger choice of crisp, fresh veggies, exotic toppings, including our own zesty signature sauces. Our pitas were also developed with a special fold, so these tantalizing flavors could be all rolled into one. This "fresh thinking and healthy eating" could now be served up quickly for people on the go. And for those who weren’t in a hurry, we designed our restaurants to provide a casual and fun atmosphere—part of which includes friendly employees who are good at what they do and treat every customer as special.Once we began serving lunch and dinner (late-night snacks, too), our unique idea took off. People of all ages and professions have quickly come to love Pita Pit. Franchising began in Canada in 1997, and within two years, it came to the US, where today it’s quickly spread to locations nationwide. (We’ve even began serving breakfast.) Pita Pit is a hit.
