  Learning the ropes as a junior reporter whilst studying at University. Speaking to local sports clubs and athletes regarding successes and exclusive pieces. Editing and subbing pages for the sports section of the paper, working to fit relative stories into weekly publication. Headed own sports feature column regarding the changing nature of local sport called Club Focus. Column was centered around promoting sport in the area and getting more people active. Through raising awareness as a result of the coloumn, we were able to action getting more youth members into sports clubs.Subsequently asked to return to the paper in the following September when sports news was at a premium again. Demonstrating good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages to work on, and raise, various reports on Excel including missing timesheet and contract renewal reports. I also showcase my sound knowledge of Publisher by contributing to and editing the monthly office newsletter.
