      Early Years Drama Facilitator

      Working initially as a volunteer and then as a facilitator, I assisted with a series of drama schemes in Belfast, Bangor, Hillsborough and Lisburn for children of a primary school age. Here I was involved in the creation of several short theatre pieces with a particular focus on music, movement and storytelling throughout each week long project involving puppetry, song, dance, costume, arts/crafts and more.

      During my time at the Grand Opera House I assisted with the development and delivery of a collaborative project with 352 Healthcare/Kingsbridge Private Hospital and Arts & Business NI. The project provided a series of theatrical workshops to a number of primary schools across Belfast, allowing each school to host their own pantomime performance with the help of a team of professional actors and drama facilitators.       Bright Young Things is an award-winning drama school for 3-18 year olds across Northern Ireland. As Creative Arts Administrator I managed a busy office and the administration behind this energetic company. My main duties included digital marketing, maintaining numerous social media platforms, seeking promotional opportunities, developing marketing campaigns, managing email communications alongside creating and maintaining databases and mailing lists. I was required to have a thorough awareness of safeguarding policy and procedure for our pupils, parents and small team of freelance facilitators.       I am responsible for many elements in the fundraising and producing of Cahoots NI's theatrical productions for young audiences, at home in Northern Ireland and on our extensive international touring circuit. Having joined the company as a Business Apprentice in 2016, I quickly gained a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration with Creative and Cultural Skills, for which I was named Northern Ireland Apprentice of the Year. Upon completion of my Apprenticeship, I was brought on by Cahoots NI as a full time, permanent employee of the organisation. Before becoming Fundraising and Development Manager in 2023, I was Cahoots’ Creative Engagement Manager for five years. Show less
