      Final Research Project entitled: ‘The influence of trunk-thigh angle on the feasibility of maintaining a neutral lumbar spine in prolonged sitting’.This study adopted a novel approach to investigate the behavior of the lumbar spine during prolonged sitting (15 minutes) with a different trunk-thigh angle. The module Effective Communication for Physiotherapists aims to teach the skills required for Effective Communication to take place within the health setting. Effective Communication requires that both the content and the method of delivery of this content is shared in a respectful and effective manner so that patient care is maximised. This module aims to focus on the skills required for every clinician to apply. Each lecture broadens the term communication to include both verbal and non-verbal channels of communication. Social medial is also addressed since it has become part of everyday communication. By the end of this course students will me made aware that communication is an ongoing process and that the message being sent or received goes beyond the sharing of information. The manner by which this message is being conveyed is given high appreciation so that misunderstandings become less and a relationship based on trust is built. Show less

      Office Ergonomics have become a significant issue towards one's well-being. On average, an office worker spends a total of 13hours a day in sitting. Choosing the right ergonomics becomes paramount to restore and maintain one's well-being. The ergonomic service provided hereby considers the furniture (chairs, desk and peripherals) secondary to the job description and stature of each person. Bottom line is, office ergonomics are supportive in their role to each individual setting.
