Kathy worked at Hamot Medical Center, directing the Hamot Wellsness Center for 13 of her 22 years at Hamot Medical Center, Erie PA. Coordinated class schedule, trained group fitness leaders, wrote newsletters, created cutting-edge group fitness programs, instructed a variety of group fitness classes, conducted a variety of health and lifestyle workshops, choreographed, co-created and co-instructor a group fitness video, choreographed and is the featured instructor in two group fitness videos, etc.

  Founder, creator and presenter of the program. Middle and high-school students are trained and then present the program in the elementary classroom setting. Kathy presents the program in the assembly setting. “Wellsville Goes to School” (WGTS) program, a unique adult and youth mentoring/cross-age teaching program that combines energizing physical activities, engaging health and nutrition education and empowering self-esteem building activities for children. Wellsville is a multi-faceted program of WellFit Incorporated developed by a team of creative, passionate and dedicated professionals.

  The Wellsville program consist of energizing and engaging school and community programs, an interactive website (www.wellsville.tv), Facebook (facebook.com/wellsvilleusa) a health, nutrition and physical activity DVD series, monthly radio spots and the 2 time state award winning weekly TV show, Wellsville from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. The Wellsville TV show airs weekly on FOX 66/WFXP in Erie PA.

  Script writing, show co-host, segment host, create content, schedule talent, research, etc. for show. The weekly award winning TV show, Wellsville, is the first-of-its-kind combining education and entertainment (“edu-tainment”) to inspire and empower kids and families to L.E.A.P. – learn, embrace and actively practice healthy living. Segments feature get-off-your seat activities, healthy eating and recipes, zoo visits, healthy heroes, and fun interviews with physicians and a variety of health experts in various fields. Wellsville features Wellsville kids and parents who represent people of all shapes, sizes, ages, colors and abilities.
