  Joined the University of Illinois Foundation in 1994 as Director of Information Systems. In 2002 I was promoted to Associate Vice President of Information Technology to oversee additional responsibilities, and then again in 2006 into the Chief Information Officer role with a $5M budget, 6 director reports, and 35 staff. My goal here was to develop and implement long-term IT strategy for Foundation and to allow our separate University of Illinois corporate entities to work together seamlessly while maintaining their independence.Achievements Included:> Improving outdated technology and business processes through carefully analyzing potential software system solutions to replace legacy systems.> Creating a new system to process gifts in less than 48 hours (from 5-10 days) for thousands of daily transactions.> Designing and building an EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) to scan and manage millions of documents for only a fraction of the cost of commercial products.> Creating web-based credit card transaction system accepting donor gifts through any department or college website, integrating with telemarketing system allowing donors to complete telephone pledges online.
