  Over my years as a Therapist I worked with children who had language delay and disorder as well as adults in stroke rehab, assisting them to use alternative communication methods when their speech/language failed them. In my final years I worked at the renown National Star College, working with young adults with severe physical disabilities, many of whom needed to use alternative communication aids. I worked closely with each student to set up their devices and collaborate on their goals with physical and occupational therapists. I would set up, program and champion each student to go out into the world with their device and use them with the public for a more independent life. Show less
