      • Developed of a series of Copper (I) Coordination Solids using a novel solvent assisted, self-assembly chemistry that led to the formation of 2- and 3-dimensional porous metal-organic extended solids.• Characterized materials via Single Crystal and Powder X-ray Diffraction, Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA); FT-IR, Raman, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy.• Investigated various materials’ anion exchange ability through a series of novel NMR methods to fully understand these materials and to indicate the path forward. • Trained and mentored less-experienced undergraduate interns.• Documented results through professional presentations, group reports, dissertation documentation, and peer reviewed journal publications.
