      The NDIS Transition Unit coordinated at a state-wide level, the preparation and implementation of NDIS transition arrangements in divisions and areas. This includes transition implementation across workforce, provider and participant transition, communications and engagement. The sub-branch was also responsible for coordinating the Operational Plan with the NDIA and the policy oversight and implementation of many of the department's existing disability support programs. My role supported the outcomes of the sector and participant readiness unit within the broader program of work for the NDIS. My work included oversight of the Victorian Government's $40M Transition Support Package and $30M NDIS Information Linkages and Capacity Building grants during the transition period. Show less NDIS Transition Planning and Oversight - Transformation & NDIS Reform Unit, North Division, Client Outcomes and Service Improvement Branch. My role was responsible for the implementation of the NDIS Transition Plan for North Division, including North East Melbourne and Loddon Areas. This included the development and implementation of the communication and engagement strategy and participant and provider readiness activities. I worked with key internal and external stakeholders, such as NDIA, NDSV Local Area Coordinators and other partners to support the transition of participants from defined programs across disability, HACC and MHCSS. Show less A highlight in my career was working in the project team responsible for the National Younger People in Residential Aged Care five year initiative (my future my choice) from 2006 to 2011, a jointly funded State and Commonwealth initiative established through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG). The team was nominated for a Making a Difference Award and achieved a 40% reduction of younger people residing in residential aged care in Victoria. My other portfolio responsibilities have included managing the state-wide ABI Portfolio, which included managing the service agreement for the ABI Slow to Recover Program and other health interface work. I also managed the Futures for Young Adults Program in Eastern Metropolitan Region, and associated budget. Negotiated and managed service agreements for ten different community service organisations. Responsibility for consulting with service providers with regards to their funding and service agreements, and ensuring they are providing a quality service through incident reporting, quality reporting (QDC) and plans that met the principles of the State Disability Plan.       Leading policy and project initiatives related to complex needs and forensic disability. The role supports the policy and design of integrated responses to people with cognitive disability involved in the justice system. Disability Reform and Complex Needs Branch is responsible for whole of Victorian Government leadership on disability policy, the Victorian Government’s ongoing oversight of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the strategic policy and program management of continuing state-funded disability services and driving improved service responses and outcomes for people with disability.
