YA Generation gave me the first opportunity to be part of a project that provided a real service, to both students and start-ups.   Boldplaces is a provider of temporary spaces for corporate events, meetings and other activities. I was in charge of acquiring new spaces to introduce to the platform, as well as contacting with potential partners and other service providers. This experience allowed to learn about sharing economy and the pop-up store concept. I was also asked to analyse the competition and formalize the company’s positioning statement.

  I was tasked with market research and prospecting activities with one goal in mind: to enhance CTT’s retail network performance by improving the overall retail offering and enriching the customer in-store experience. By following market and consumer trends, my job was to routinely develop quantitative and qualitative analysis and present new business opportunities for CTT’s retail network. With more than 500 stores all over the country, with very different surrounding environments (demographics, economical, etc.), the biggest challenge was to tailor the retail strategy and offering to each unique reality. Show less With the optimization of operations in mind, I had the opportunity to work with a very powerful 3D Modelling and Analysis Software: FlexSim. I was in charge of modelling the processing and consolidation activities of the two major treatment and distribution centres of the entire CTT Express operation in Portugal. The simulation of these operational processes demanded a thorough process mapping, in order to maximize the model's adherence to reality. In addition, I was able to model the processing and consolidation of all small packages that enter CTT’s distribution network. The endgame was to eliminate the major pain points within the operational processes in place, by optimizing resource allocation and mange staff workload. Show less
