      Working in Operations has benefited me to get a feel for a range of different tasks and job roles. In this position, I was solely responsible for procurement. My main focus was quoting, order processing and purchasing IT hardware and software including the management of logistics. I have picked up key skills in communication and building relationships with customers and suppliers. This has enabled me to perform some sales work in improving margin by bartering down prices. I was also responsible for keeping records up to date and proactively renewing contracts/subscriptions. I am fully used to the purchase ordering system and am confident with my accuracy and attention to detail. I understand the importance of buying and selling from an accounting point of view as I have worked closely with this department over my time at this company.       The Additional Works Department has now moved into the Operations department. I now continue to manage the email inbox which includes queries, orders and quote requests directly from customers. I also assist the Salesmen with their quotes and orders. I now work closer with the other departments involved with my role such as Accounts, Billing and Contracts. I also process the orders further by requesting stock to be ordered, allocating the parts, organising the Engineers to complete any work by managing their diary and fitting around customer needs, and chasing deliveries. Show less I continued my Additional Works duties as well as being given new customer accounts to manage. I was now looking after around 150 clients and had the increased responsibly of prioritising and making regular visits to clients. I ran sales campaigns and increased my own pipeline, dealt with new business opportunities including upgrades. During this time I was involved in customer and supplier events and undertook Lifesize, Avaya, Mitel and Aruba training. I had targets around generating business from the existing customer base, in particular I was tasked to get all clients on old Axxess telephone systems to upgrade to the Mitel 5000. I specialise in B2B mobile phone contracts, my main role being new business acquisition. A key part of my role is cold calling for new business to find clients the most suitable network/tariff available.
