      - Assisted the development of the Automotive Safety Warning System (SWS), a project that will allow autonomous cars to leverage microphones and "see with sound" detecting sirens, cars, and pedestrians to augment existing autonomous driving and ADAS systems. - Designed and deployed a software tool with a user interface to streamline the training and testing of machine learning models for the SWS project, providing customization for machine learning processes including data segmentation, channel selection, feature selection, bandpass filtration, and auto-balancing data sets. - Trained Support Vector Machine (SVM)-based lowSpeed and highSpeed siren classifier models using normalized FFT magnitude to distinguish frequency patterns with in-house collected datasets, achieving 93% accuracy for lowSpeed and 98% for highSpeed siren classification. - Assisted in deploying trained models to the RH850 MCU and demonstrated the solution to a customer, Magna International, for their autonomous applications. - Conducted field testing and data collection in Baltimore City, validating model performance with high accuracy in real-world conditions. - Executed pre and post-data processing techniques and leveraging Python to write scripts that used Geopy and Meteostat APIs (for reverse geocoding and grabbing historical weather data), resulting in comprehensive datasets and analysis - Extended the data collection software to use Phidget GPS modules and Audacity, enabling synchronized GPS and audio recording during data runs to improve data accuracy.
