  In my role as the Regional Tourism Commissioner overseeing the Governorates of Tozeur, Kebili and Gafsa, I played a central role in advancing tourism development within the region. This achievement was primarily facilitated through the organization of meticulously analyzed tourism promotional events and festivals. I oversaw the regulatory landscape within the tourism and hotel sector, exercising control and inspection over establishments. I managed the issuance and supervision of licenses pertinent to various tourism-related businesses, including hotels, motels, lodging houses, travel agencies, tourist transport, and tour guides. Collaborating closely with the Regional authority (Governor) and Territorial Communities, I contributed to the elevation and widespread recognition of culturally significant tourist sites and events of interest. Furthermore, I engaged in productive partnerships with both local and foreign entrepreneurs and investors, facilitating the seamless execution of procedures related to proposals for hotel projects. To enhance industry competence, I organized region-specific training sessions for employers and employees within the hotel and tourism sectors. My core responsibilities included evaluating the compliance of hotels, restaurants, campgrounds, and similar establishments with governmental regulations, involving the meticulous examination of facilities, operations, and services. I played a crucial role in evaluating new tourism projects' operating permits, collaborating with prospective operators of hotels, guesthouses, camps, travel agencies, and tourist entertainment companies. To ensure quality standards, I conducted comprehensive audits of inventory, equipment, hygiene, fittings, and furnishings within establishments. In addition, I demonstrated effective coordination across various sectors integral to the tourism industry, thus guaranteeing the seamless success of both tourist seasons and festive events. My contributions extended to hosting VIP guests during promotional initiatives organized by international Tunisian Tourist Offices, highlighting my ability to oversee and accompany esteemed visitors, thereby enhancing the region's appeal.
