  Mechanical fitter Grangemouth oil refinery shut down may 2023 (8 week contract)As a Mechanical fitter Working in a oil refinery, I am constantly following the statutory, quality, organisational and health and safety regulations as well as:• Reinstating spades an blinds ready for testing using different types of tightening methods ( torque wrenches ) • Using engineering drawings to remove old parts of the system and replace with the new parts • working along side of riggers an ops to ensure the job is done correctly an meeting the deadlines• Ensuring we follow the correct safety procedures getting the correct air monitors and checking for gas when removing compartments from tanks • Minimum Bolting using impact gun to remove bolts an replace with new ones on a 24 inch flange • Removing bolts from dome ends using a hydraulic pump Show less
