  Security grc operations analyst

  After demonstrating drive and analytics capability as an intern, I quickly moved into a part-time, then full-time role in Salesforce’s Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. My primary focus was on improving executive visibility into security risks and compliance issues as quickly as possible as they are identified so appropriate risk mitigation actions could be prioritized. In short, I took what was largely a manual issues management and exception process and replaced it with an automated analytics engine that gave those same leaders instant access to the information they needed to make critical decisions and to track progress toward resolutions. In the end, we saved senior leaders 10+ hours/week by using automation (Node.JS) and proper analytics tools (Einstein Analytics on the Salesforce platform) to highlight the most meaningful information.   The main focus of my brief, but impactful, time at Deloitte was on building automation to improve onboarding times and reduce manual effort involved in onboarding new employees across resources shared among multiple, operationally independent offices. I worked in a team of mostly senior engineers to integrate Active Directory, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Teams into an identity and access management (IAM) system that enforced role-based access control. Not only did we replace costly and error-prone manual steps in the access provisioning and revocation process, we created an auditable change trail that improves accountability for access decisions.
