During my time as a trainee, I supported the organisation of the Annual Assembly in Kyiv, Ukraine for 400+ civil society organisations and assisted with assessing applications for the Forum's regranting scheme.

  Trainee in the Strategy and Policy unit of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. I assisted the unit in preparation of policy documents and briefings for the hierarchy and provided background research assistance for speeches, briefings and high-level meetings.DG NEAR works with countries in the EU's Southern and Eastern Neighbourhood (North Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans).

  At Chatham House, my role was to coordinate complex research projects with a geographic focus on Europe. I worked across a diverse range of thematic priorities, including a project on youth engagement and community building in the EU and Africa, and a project on the future of democracy and technology. Working across research and project and programme management, I managed strategic relations with existing and potential government, corporate and third sector partners and worked collaboratively with research staff on project reporting and grant management of grants up to 500k.
