      Responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction related to daily operations, personnel issues, program and service development, marketing, maintenance, budget and capital improvement project implementation to the Mayfair Recreation Center & Banquet Facility. The emphasis of this position is to provide oversight to ensure programs and services are delivered to customers and community members expectations. In addition to operational oversight, this position is charged with serving as a board member on the Gateway, Special Recreation Association (SRA). Gateway provides programs/services for children and adults with disabilities and/or special needs.• Beginning in 2006, Facilitated the operations of Mayfair Recreation Center & Banquet Facility including: fitness center, banquet facility, staffing and payroll, fitness and aerobic classes, senior programs, softball leagues, softball tournaments, youth & adult dance program, parent & tot recreation programs, youth sports, babysitting, concession stand and numerous special events. • 2009 Managed the redesign of the Mayfair Fitness Center and the addition of Forest the Fox Playbox. Fitness center increased from 2,000 square feet to a 5,000 square feet facility equipped with $250,000 worth of all new fitness equipment including cardio, strength line, free weights and cardio theater systems. Forest the Fox‛s Playbox is an integrated soft playground providing children with hours of physical and developmental activities.• In fall 2010, Coordinate, organize and lead our 20th year Veteran Day Run/Walk (10K, 5K & 2 Mile Walk) of 1000 participants in conjunction with the Village of Westchester and Chamber of Commerce. November 2012, the Park District has reestablished a 5K Run and 1 Mile Health Walk for the community. December 2012, work with Vermont System Incorporated (VSI) with the installation of Rec Trac software into the district. Show less

Oversee a Recreation Budget of $3.7 million including all recreation programming, the ARC Center, Turtle Splash Water Park & Zone 250.• June 2018, part of the Management Team who created Toucan’s Hideaway, a playground inside the Turtle Splash Water Park as well as adding a Splash Pad Area.• January 2018, Part of the original PARC Grant from 2014, Zone 250 is a 16,000 square foot Sports Facility Training Center. Zone 250 is designed to house a variety of sport related activities from soccer, basketball, volleyball, and batting cages for softball / baseball.• September 2016, created a synergy between the Recreation, Parks & and Finance Department staff through the goal of seeing all department work as one team as we collaborate and build on special events for the district. Serve as liaison within the district’s affiliations. Supervise and evaluate over 65 part time staff members and 6 maintenance contracted employees. Responsible for updating the IT for district as part of a 5 person team, consisting of three Superintendents and Office Manager. Certified Instructor for American Red Cross and serve on the safety Committee for the district.• January 2014, established and developed relations with staff in preparing for the opening of the Recreation Center, ARC. Developed job descriptions, interviewed, established and implemented system for training of all new staff in Rec Trac Software. Training program included customer service, soft skill, policy training, management and leadership series, safety training, first aid, CPR & AED training. Developed relations with park district affiliations in preparation of the new building.• In September 2014, Grand Opening of the 70,000 square foot Athletic, Recreation & Community Center, ARC which includes: 8,000 square foot fitness center, three lane run/walk track, three court gymnasium, MAC gymnasium, three group exercise rooms, 3,500 square feet indoor play area along with meeting & party rooms. Managed the overall operations of the ARC Center including: project call list, customer service staff, fitness center, childcare attendants, indoor playground (Treehouse), payroll, rentals (gymnasium & meeting rooms), fitness instructors & programs, contractual programs, maintenance staff and personal trainers. Supervised 2 full time staff along with working with the recreation team in coordinating and building programs within our new Community Center.• December 2014, part of a team working on the development and planning of the new Training Facility located at Reed Keppler Park.
