      Mr. Newman’s professional experience includes a broad range of managerial, developmental, and analytical functions. He is currently a Senior Principal Human Performance Technologist with 19 years of relevant experience in the area of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of performance improvement-related systems. Fourteen of those 19 years has been working with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), two years working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), one year working with the U.S. Navy, and two years working with the U.S. Army. He has designed methodologies for and conducted needs assessments, cause analyses, job/task analyses, training situation analyses, media and methods selection analyses, and formative and summative evaluation of Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS), Training and Performance Support Systems (TPSS), and extraneous online courses. Mr. Newman has designed and developed data collection instruments to include surveys, task tables, and job position questionnaires. He has also participated in the design of an electronic job-task analysis database tool that is used for job and task analysis data collection and performance solution content and traceability. Mr. Newman designed and developed electronic performance support tools, online training assessment simulations, military Training Support Packages (TSP), and leadership development and monitoring/evaluating performance training, as well as conducted beta testing and usability studies. He also constructed and validated knowledge- and high-fidelity performance–based assessments. Mr. Newman currently mentors several human performance technologist/analysts within the General Dynamics Information Technology’s Professional Services and Training Solutions (PSTS) team. Show less
