      Reporting to the Operations Manager, I lead a team of Engineers and Technicians in BD Plymouth's most recent and state of the art manufacturing areas, utilising the skills of both my team and other cross functional teams to optimise production output and product quality whilst driving down cost Responsible for all Engineering activities on shift. I provide a high level of engineering support to the production team, including the implementation of process improvements, and fault finding. I develop and drive maintenance plans, tasks and workloads. I also develop training plans for Production Technicians and implement training structure, based on the business needs Working under the Engineering Shift Leader, my role incorporated a large amount of responsibilty, including the planning of PM tasks, the development of new Production Technicians and the implementation of small projects Following my 4 year electro/mechanical Apprenticeship, I was employed in a permanent position as a Production Technician.
