  In 2014, UC Berkeley started a pilot Camp located on campus entitled Girls in Engineering in an attempt to get girls ranging from ages 11-14 interested in the world of STEM. As one of the first members of GiE, I was tasked with focusing on every aspect of the program itself, whether that meant looking over all documents regarding possible applicants including their personal information, or the overall physical set up, look, and feel of the camp. Our sessions began in early June of each summer, and lasted until late July, with each group of applicants ranging anywhere from around 25 to 30 girls. Lesson plans were developed and practiced by both my employer and the rest of my team, and then taught by current professors/school volunteers at Berkeley.My job was to assist each applicant with any need that may come up, as well as organize and keep track of time, supplies, and personal information... all while making sure the production of the camp ran as smooth as possible.
