  I am in charge of the SLA agreement with Thabazimbi mine to maintain and install the open cast pit's wireless mesh network that run on off grid Solar Panel Systems and some Point to Point Links(Motorola ). We use Strix Systems Radio's to run safety and production data from the trucks/shovels in the pit all along the way back to the Control Room. Some other responsibilities include but are not limited to , two technicans, safety standards, backups, statistical reports from our Solarwinds Server (Availability, Bandwith Usage ect) . Standby is also a critical part of my Job, to make sure response times and service satisfactory are at the best we can provide as our systems are critical to the mine's production and safety.
