  A founding member of Punchdrunk, I was Technical Director of the company and Lighting Designer for much of Punchdrunk’s best known work, including many of the large scale masked events and other projects including The Borough, Tunnel 228 and It Felt Like A Kiss. In the earliest years my roles crossed many disciplines, working variously as performer, show operator, stage manager and technician. As the complexity of the productions evolved, I developed much of the unique technical production process required for Punchdrunk’s work, firstly as Technical Manager and, from 2005, as Technical Director. I also worked closely with Punchdrunk Enrichment, creating tailored learning experiences within primary and secondary schools and developing broad community focused projects with a range of partner organisations including The National Trust and The National Maritime Museum.   Technical Manager

  Working with the Imperial College Conference and Events team gave me great insight into the needs of both science and medicine, educational and corporate clients and the differences in expectation between this and that of an arts audience. Within this role I lead the technical planning and coordination of the events technical team and all technical production correspondence with clients. I also supported the day to day operations management of this busy events organisation.

  At BAC i was fortunate enough to work with a huge range of artists and learned a great deal of hands-on Stagecraft. The nature of this work has enabled me to have a greater understanding of how to achieve projects, however challenging the budget or outlandish the proposal.

  Watermans Arts Centre

  Technical Manager

  During my four years at Watermans i worked on a huge range of projects both within the Performing Arts, Exhibition, Cinema and Digital Arts. I was also responsible for the day to day operation of all technical and building services for the Arts Centre and worked closely with the design team for Hounslow’s new outdoor performance venue ‘Bell Square’. As part of the build up to the 2012 Olympic games we were a key contributor to the Cultural Olympiad in West London, organising and producing regular outdoor events and staging the final section of the torch relay within Hounslow.   Freelance Production Manager - Dominoes

  'Dominoes' is large scale mass participation pubic art project involving hundreds of local volunteers and a core team of professionals who in one day together build a multi-kilometre giant Domino run which is toppled at the end of the day. The event has been staged in cities across the world and typically attracts thousands of visitors for the day of the fall. As a Production Manager for ‘Dominoes’, I was responsible for the Technical planning, quantifying and co-ordination of Station House Opera's 'Dominoes' productions in Marseilles, Rennes, Cluj, Bordeaux and Poznan.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjNlOhzUH_c Show less

  At The Marlowe I held a number of roles, having responsibility for the Technical, Production and Buildings teams across the course of my tenure. As well as The Marlowe Theatre, The Marlowe Theatre Trust also operate ‘The Marlowe Kit’. Housed in Canterbury’s 800 year old former Poor Priests Hospital, this accommodates their Learning and Participation programme.Born as a commercial receiving house on the UK's No1 Theatre circuit, The Marlowe has grown to be a significant community player and a new theatre producer in Kent.
