With help from volunteers, Young Enterprise in Dorset raises the aspiration and employability skills of young people. Last year over 1000 young people benefited from our programmes and were supported by over 100 business volunteers. Our local programmes include: The Company Programme - the ultimate enterprise experience. Young people set up and manage their own business, in doing so they learn essential skills such as leadership, decision making, team work, communication. They will learn to respond to change and build their confidence. The Dorset Schools Employability Masterclass - raises aspirations and prepares young people for work and adult life. Young Enterprise has the knowledge, reach and ability to impact the future of thousands of potential apprentices and employees. Could you help us to provide them with meaningful encounters with your industry sector please? Let's collaborate to ensure our future workforce are ready! An innovative new project which will help young people of Dorset and South Hampshire to leave education better prepared for their futures. As a result of the programme students will be better prepared and make more informed decisions on their educational/career pathways, new relationships will be formed between schools and local employers, young people will have an increased awareness of STEM sector employment opportunities and apprenticeship offers promoted.
