  During my internship at Siegfried I was working on the optimization of the waste water treatment plant present on site. My M.Sc. thesis goal was to find the theoretical biological basins dimensions and its optimal operational parameters (nutrient dosage and air insufflation rate). In order to dimension the process properly, I conducted OUR and AUR laboratory tests to find the kinetic constants of the wastewater.The second aspect I have worked on is the centrifugation of excess sludge to decrease the treatment and transport costs. After having checked the separability of the sludge with a lab test, we launched an on site pilot test to verify the chosen machine's dehydration performance.Lastly, I searched different waste solvents treatments in order to find alternative solutions to incineration. The main alternatives which I investigated are distillation and degradation via Electro-Fenton process. Show less

I approach projects in a critical way, having as objective not only the site water KPI improvement, but also what is the best solution to preserve water at catchment level.
