  Worked as a process engineer in the field at Benfield and Cold Separation.Specific examples of Plant Support initiatives undertaken:1. Investigated high CO2 slips on the Benfield unit linked to foaming induced by the commissioning of upstream filters. Executed a test run on the system to optimise the filter commissioning process. 2. Investigated high CO2 slips on the Benfield unit related to maldistribution of liquid in a packed column. Executed a test run on the system to optimise operating parameters for production to adhere to with respect to liquid absorbent flow rates and reboil rate on the regeneration column. 3. Performed an investigation into the reboil rate of Benfield carbonate system heat exchanges as well as regeneration capacity. A test run was carried out wherein the steam traps and steam de-superheater performance was evaluated.4. Audited the steam traps on the Benfield carbonate system. 5. Completed mass balances for Benfield and Cold Separation on the CO2 load, condensate1 and 3 system as well as a hydraulic pressure analysis for Benfield (to detect foaming/ flooding/ blockages). 6. Exposure to punching mechanical lines for commissioning of new equipment. 7. Verifying pump design and piping/ hydraulics study on Cold Separation. Responsible for project documentation such as Potential Deviation Analyses (PDA’s) required as part of safety reviews and Management of Change documentation (MoC’s). Also liable for verifying equipment design parameters. 8. Chaired HAZOP and RCA studies. 10. Optimising the current vanadium oxidation strategy for Benfield to minimise the production of unwanted by-products that block up the system and result in a shorter life span of the packed columns and poor mass transfer efficiency for CO2 removal. 11.
