Fo two decades, I've taught compassionate vinyasa yoga to students of all ages and abilities, from pregnant women to elite athletes, first graders to senior citizens. I lead group classes, workshops, and intensives, and work one-on-one with private clients to help heal injuries and address imbalances. My passions include teaching Prenatal and Mama-Baby Yoga, leading challenging sequences for advanced students, and helping people to "flow their own way" as they create a fulfilling home practice.

SPILT MILK offers an irreverent, unapologetic look at the challenges of parenthood, from a mother who'd rather pole dance than chop organic carrots. The column appeared bi-monthly in The Brattleboro Reformer and The Rutland Herald and garnered an avid readership. SPILT MILK also ran as a commentary series on Vermont Public Radio and is being adapted into a new memoir about motherhood and sexuality.

Created just for young women, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE EVERYTHING is filled with poems by a wide range of writers who are honest, unafraid, and skilled at capturing the complex feelings of coming-of-age— from loneliness to joy, longing to solace, attitude to anger. These accessible poems offer girls a message of self-acceptance and strength, giving them permission to let go of shame and perfectionism. The cast of 68 poets is extraordinary: bestselling authors like Maya Angelou, Elizabeth Acevedo, Sharon Olds, and Mary Oliver; our new National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman; Instagram stars including Kate Baer, Andrea Gibson, and Melody Lee; poets who are LGBTQ, poets from varied racial and cultural backgrounds, poets who sing of human experience in ways that are free from conventional ideas of femininity. Illustrated in full color with work by three diverse artists, it is an inspired gift for daughters and granddaughters-- or anyone on the path to becoming themselves. Show less

    • HealthyWomen

      Feb 2020 - Dec 2020
      Senior Contributing Editor

I developed and edited Real Women Real Stories-- a platform documenting the lived experiences of women across their health journeys. These personal stories let women know they are not alone in their health challenges, and informed health care providers and policy-makers about the actual experience of real patients. During my 11 months at HealthyWomen, I produced 54 stories on topics ranging from mental health to menopause, chronic pain to Crohn's disease. These compelling personal essays were often the most-read content on the site. I'm passionate about lifting up women's voices and believe in the power of stories to change people's lives. Show less
