  Lab work was done in sterile hoods with genetically modified specimen to take samples and maintain their growth. PCR and digital analysis of GUS induced genes was also done. End of internship presentation during the Apprenticeship in Science and Engineering fair at Portland State University. Work was a preliminary step to determine dose response mediated induction of ecdysone genes inserted into genetically modified poplar trees to initiate bio-plastics chemical synthesis.
