  The Jeffco Theatre Coordinator is responsible for supporting the work of educators in the classroom. As a unifying voice for individuals who are often the only one of their kind in the building, the Theatre Coordinator strives to build a community of teachers and learners who collaborate, learn from each other, and provide district-wide growth opportunities to both educators and students grades 6-12. The Theatre Coordinator also serves as a voice for the subject area and arts in district level work and advocates for the needs of theatre educators in support of well-rounded programs that are accessible to all Jeffco secondary students.   Colorado Thespians is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing educational theatre opportunities to students and educators across Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Colorado Thespians hosts three conferences annually and provides leadership training to students for application in schools and beyond. Additional focus on educational arts advocacy to ensure equitable access for students regardless of geography, race, gender, or socio-economic background.
